We are pleased to invite you to the first German-French scientific workshop organized by AKKA Technologies and the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future. The close exchange between scientists and leading companies’ experts follows the ambition to be at the forefront of scientific progress. This year’s topic on machine learning and digital twins has great relevance for the mobility of the future, such as in autonomous driving or for production processes of Industry 4.0.

ORGANISATION

The workshop is an interactive platform for research and industry experts, oriented around relevant industrial topics of emerging technologies. This year’s workshop is discussing the topic of “How can Machine Learning push the boundaries of Digital Twins?”

The workshop is focused around 4 axes:

1. Expert exchange between engineers and researchers
2. Discuss proof of concepts and challenge academic ideas for industry application
3. Discussion and know-how exchange on the topic of digital twins and machine learning
4. Enhance relations between industry and French and German universities

A main part of the workshop are the interactive sessions with the goal to facilitate academic exchange and discuss industry applications. Each session will discuss the question “How can Machine Learning push the boundaries of Digital Twins?” in the respective domain.
